The CFB-HSG is an international center focusing on research, teaching, and executive education in the context of family firms. Thereby, these three pillars represent a self-inforcing circle so that none of the activties has to be seen in separation.
Our main activities lie in the fields of research on family firms, as well as teaching and executive education for persons that plan to be or already are either directly involved in family firms or working as consultants and service providers for family firms.

The article ""The Family Innovator’s Dilemma: How Family Influence Affects the Adoption of Discontinuous Technologies by Incumbent Firms"" was accepted by the Academy of Management Review.
The new study of the CFB-HSG and Ernst & Young on family firm succession can be downloaded here.
We are glad to anounce that the CFB is again represented within the AOM Best Paper Proceedings. This year, Nadine Kammerlander's submission, titled "Organizational Identity and Adaptation to Discontinuous Change: The Role of Focus and Locus" has been chosen by the reviewers.
